FOOTBALL.
The ilorowhenua Rugby Union met on Thursday night. The Wuirarapa Rugby Union acknowledged confirmation of Align-1 27th for senior rep. match with Horowlienua, at Carterton; also that the junior match would be arranged later.
The Paraparaumu Club asked for similar treatment to that meted out to the Otaki Club with regard to the Old Boys playing Taipu Puna, as the latter club had played him against Paraparaumu. —Held over for a larger meeting to deal with. Jt was decided to guarantee the sale of 102 reserved seats for the Springboks’ match at Palmerston. It was decided to postpone all games on August 20th (New South Wales match at Palmerston).
