SUPREME COURT.
PALMERSTON SITTINGS.
The quarterly Palmerston North sittings of the Supreme Court, commenced on Tuesday morning, His Honour Mr Justice Hosking presiding . , Robert Gilmour Allen, charged with breaking and entering the shop of Mrs Grace Gunn and stealing several packets of cigarettes, cakes of chocolates and a packet of matches, was found not guilty. Robert Gilmour Allen and Edward Donovan stood jointly charged with breaking and entering the premises of the Radcliife Land Agency, Feilding, and stealing therefrom stamps valued at 555, and breaking and entering the premises of Messrs Bramwell Bros., Ltd., Foil ding, and stealing goods valued at £SO, both offences, it was alleged, having been committed on April 25tli last. Accused, who were not represented by counsel, pleaded not guilty.
■ The jury returned a verdict of guilty on the charge relating to Messrs Bramwell’s premises, and not guilty on. the second. Sentence was deferred.
