Manawatu Herald TUESDAY, AUGUST 9, 1921. TO PREVENT VANDALISM.
THE Beautifying Society has expended a large amount of money in planting Easton Park, and it is up to the Borough Council to protect this work by immediately erecting a fence at. the Johnston Street entrance, to prevent, wandering slock from going on to the reserve. The reserve is also used by a number of people as a right-of-way, with consequent danger to fences and hedge plants. Until such time as the worknow being carried out. on this reserve is well settled, trespassers should be prosecuted, and the Beautifying Society look to the Council, as the responsible body, to assist them in this connection.
