At the local b.AI. Court yesterday, before Mr J. L. (Stout, S.M., Gee Narm was charged that on June 2Uud, .it Fox ton, he failed to close lbs shop at 1 o'clock on Wednesday, Iho statutory half-holiday for Fox--1,111, contrary to the Act. (1. F. Greeve, Inspector of Factories, stated that at about 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 22nd of June, he went into accused’s shop at Fox ton, and s; nv exposed for sale cigarettes and tobacco. He purchased a packet of cigarettes, and no hesitation was made in the delivery of same to him.

Accused was convicted and fined £2, with 17s costs.
