S.M. COURT

CIVIL CASES,

At the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., judgment for plaintiffs was entered up in tho following undefended civil cases:—E. J, Murphy v. H.

Hoterini, £2 2s 6d, costs £1 10s 6d; Murphy v. Poutahi, £3 7s Gd, costs £llos Gd; J, A. Mills v. E. Harrison, £ls Gs 2d, costs £2 14s Off;. G. G. Kelly v. M. Carkeek, £3 Is Od, costs £1 3s Gd; same v. AV. Forbes, 18s Gd, costs 8s; same v. G~. Grumwald, 19s costs 8s; AA T . Xye v. E. Harrison, £2 14s Od, costs £1 3s Gd; F. J. C’armont v. J. McDonald, adjourned to 2Gth August. Judgment summonses:—’ Steve Egle was ordered to pay 0. G. Kelly £5 9s Gd within seven days, in deiault seven days imprisonment. J. Trelease was ordered to pay G. G. Kelly £2 13s Gd forthwith, in default seven days, warrant suspended so Jong as defendant pays £1 per month.

Mete Kipa was ordered to pay . A’. Hofmann £5 19s Gd forthwith, i default seven days, warrant sus pended so long as defendant pay £1 per mouth.

Huia Kangi was ordered to pay E, J. Murphy £7 3s Gd forthwith, in default seven days, warrant suspended so long as defendant pays £2 pei month.

’ Taite Tetemo was ordered to pay Stiles and Matheson £25 12s Od, and costs £1 11,s Gd, forthwith, in default one month’s imprisonment, warrant suspended so long as defendant pays £5 per month. Charles Dix, for failing to comply with a maintenance order, was ordered six months imprisonment with hard labour, to be released on payment of arrears. .
