CHURCH DESTROYED BY FIRE.

Christchurch, Yesterday

St. James’ Anglican Church, a large wooden building, in Lower Riccarton, was completely decoyed by fire early this morning. A south-west gale was raging at the time. The origin of the fire is unknown. The building was insured for £1,400.
