On Wednesday next, on the Foxton racec'ourse, the senior representative niateh, Ilorowhenua v. Oroua, will lie played. The game will commence at 2.30 p.m. It is many years since a representative
match has been played locally, and
no douht there will lie a large attendance to witness this game. If the gate receipts are satisfactory, other rep. games will no doubt be arranged to be played at Foxton.
The Auckland Rugby League declined a request to allow the Parnell gilds’ club to play in Carlaw Park under League auspices, despite a statement that no objection could be taken to the game as played under modified rules. The club had a membership of 05, in charge of three matrons, two of whom were trained 'nurses.
