ESCAPE AFTER EXECUTION

A bullet grazed his leg, but he succeeded in evading his pursuers.

It was stated by counsel that Captain Smytlie was now a nervous wreck, and could not speak without a stutter. The recorder awarded £I,BOO compensation.
