MR. MASSEY EULOGISED
London, July 11. The Times, makes complimentary reference to Mr Massey's tenth anniversary of his accession to office. The paper says: “lie has ever beeii a determined fighter, always pledging his energy and the interests of the Ktate in the host service of the Empire.” The article eulogises the whole-hearted manner in which he urged tiie people of New Zealand to throw the full weight of their patriotism and resources mtp the Allies’ fight for freedom. There was not a moment’s hesitation on his part in guaranteeing the practical patriotism of New Zealand on behalf .of the Empire. The article also refers enlogistically to New Zealand’s war effort, giving statistics of the contribution in men, und adds a tribute to Mr Massey’s eonsistentjattitude regarding the !VYar Cabinet, and his efforts in favour-of Imperial preference, and records his useful work, at the Peace Conference. ..Other, leading London and provincial papers make complimentary reference to the occasion. ...
