THE ITINERARY,

The return match between these two teams was played at the racecourse No. 1 ground on Saturday, before a good crowd of interested spectators. Considerable interest wa.s taken in this match, owing to Eoxton’s improved showing last week against Shannon. The first score came to Eoxton from a pretty passing rush from a scrum just inside the 25 mark, the ball travelling out to the speedy Burgess, who was over in a twinkling. Taylor missed the goal. Eoxton 3 —llui Mai 0. The reverse awakened the latent energies of the Hui Mais. From a serum live yards from Eoxton goalline, Jacob whipped the ball to Eopata on the blind side, and he forced his way over. No goal resulted. Three all. A short while after, Burgess had to retire with a strained ankle, and Healey filled the gap. Within a few minutes, Wilson kicked down the field, followed up, and Healey, making a feeble effort to return the ball, Wilson scored. Hui Mai o—Eoxton0 —Eoxton 3. The second spell had been under way a short while when Mo Hi i kicked high into midj lield, followed up, and smothered .the backs, Baker scoring. Taylor missed the goal. Six all. Owing to some of tho Rangitikci sub-Union players having been selected to represent Wanganui againsl tho Springboks, at Wanganui to-morrow, the representative match Horowhenua v. Rangitikci, >o| down for that day at Bulls, lias been postponed until Wednesday, the 20th inst.

At Auckland on Saturday, Auckland and Thames reps, played drawn game —11 all. Marlborough defeated Nelson by 24 points to nil. Mannwnlu play South Auckland, at Palmerston, to-morrow. The selected basis of the Wellington team which will play against the Springboks is:—Murphy', Seddals, Markham, Ryan, Ait ken, Jack--,ou, Algar, Roberts, M. Nieholls, 11. Nieholls, Sianden, Hughes, Mollitt, Price, Bruce, Hanson, Syd. Shearer, Giiir, King, Scott, M. Mahoney and Do Clifton. The Wanganui representatives played brilliantly against South Auckland at Taihnpe on Saturday, winning by 10 points to 9.

Tho Springboks .arrived from Sydney by the Ulimaroa tonight. There are 34 in the party, including three supporters. All are in excellent health. Gerhardt Morkel and Siedle, who were injured in Australia, are with (Lie team. The former will probably take the field before the tour is completed. Siedle should recover earlier;
