PATRIOTIC SOCIETY

The monthly committee meeting

of the above Society was held on MMpifr'sdny evening'. Present: MesE. Barber (chairman), Mr Trueman (secretary), the Mayor (Mr J. Chrystall), Messrs Hornblow, Thomson, Huntley, McMurray and Mrs McMurray and Miss Sewell. Correspondence was read from the Auckland province re applications for relief for local men located there, and the reports being favourable, grants were made. Loans * t 0 f o ur applicants were approved, several minor grants made by the Secretary endorsed, and in one case increased.
