FATAL ACCIDENT.
Invercargill, June 28
A wharf labourer named Alex. Callender, while working on tlu, Bluff wharf this morning, was struck on the head by some timber that fell from a sling which broke during the loading of the Westrulia. He sustained injuries from which he died in the Southland Hospital this evening.
