iire endeavouring to have a school opened in the locality for their children, and luive approached the Beach Improvement Committee re the hire of the hall for the purpo.se. We are informed that there are thirty children of school age there whose convenience would be served in this connection. The Fox ton school is distant about three miles from the seaside resort. The point is whether the best interests of the children would he served by establishing a school there, in view of I lie splendidly equipped and staffed school at Foxlon. We are of opinion that- it would be more beneficial to the children, and economical to the Board, if locomotion were provided by the Board to convey the ( hildren to the local school.
