TOWN HALL PICTURES.

NEW ZEALAND PRODUCTIONS. To-night, at the Town Hall, a two-night season of solely New Zealand produced films will opi-u with “Beautiful New Zealand” and “Charlie’s Capers.” These pictures are the work of the Maori laud Mini photographers, and prove without a doubt that New Zealand ean produce pictures equal to the best imported: in fact, from a scenic pond, of view far ahead of imported film. “Beautiful New Zealand” is a scenic beautiful, taking us to the important towns and beauty spots of “God’s Own Country.” Among the many glimpses are magnificent) views of the Manawatu Gorge and the Sounds of the South Island. “Charlie’s Capers” is a comedy produced by Leonard Doogood. It is hilariously funny throughout its 2,000 odd feet, and proves that we have first-class a'cting talent in this country, and that Maoriland Films have already brought it out. To-morrow (Friday) “Historic Otaki,” a picture thoroughly covering the whole of 1 lie Ilorowhenua district, will be screened. Fine views of Foxton river, town, school, streets, etc., are included, and all should see their town as the camera views it. Prices for these attractions are Is Id and Is 7cl, children fid.
