BOROUGH FINANCE.
The Borough Treasurer reported at last night's Council meeting ns follows:
During the month of May the sum of £.1,893 19s 3d was received, and has been placed to the credit of accounts a- under: Cemetery account, £2; witter and drainage loan account, £1,000; district fund account, £B9l 19s 3d. The ledger balances at the 31st May, 1921, were as follows: —Imprest, cash £lO, gasworks £l3O 5s 2d, general £285 12s 2d, reserves £154 7s Id, fixed deposit: £I,OOO, all in debit, a total of £1,580 4s sd. The accounts at credit were: —Cemetery £B9 13s 4d, contractors’ deposit £172, hospital and charitable aid £ls 13s 2d, library £99 17s Id, reconstruction £1,230 6s sd, sanitation £lO7 2s 3d, town bail £46 15s (id, water and drainage £951 19s Id. interest £157 11s Id. a total of £2,870 17s lid.
