MILLIONAIRE AND PROHIBITION LAW.
The first arrest of a millionaire violator of the American Prohibition law took place at Miami, Florida, where Mr 11. S. Black, the mul-ti-millionaire chairman of the Ended States Realty and Improvement Company, was taken into custody after the police found fifty-five mises of liquor in his private railway ear. Mr Black, who is prominent in New York society, had just arrived at Miami for a winter holiday. After raiding Mr Black's car the police went to a hut on the water front owned by Mr Black, and seized five cases of line liquor’s. Mr Black gave £3OO bail for himself, and two negro servants who were arrested with him. When the case came into court, one of the servants testified that he put the liquor in the car, and the charge against Mr Black was dismissed.
