“His Wife’s Money,” the chief item in to-night’s change of programme, affords Eugene O’Brien fresh opportunities of adding to his laurels in a role that is full of brilliant situations, handled by the star in masterly fashion. The story shows that there are many things that- money wont’ buy. It shows how ft decent man feels when married to a mighty, lot of money, and it shows that love can conquer even the power of mammon. As an extra “The Silent Avenger will be also screened.
For to-morrow night, and Saturday’s matinee, “The Garter Girl” will be screened. “The Garter Girl,” in which Corinne Griffith has the title role, is an 0 Henry story of contrasts, a tale of the stage and the open country. It gives the delectable Corinne unusual opportunities to do clever acting and perform some intricate dance and aerial ballets. Her interpretation of Rosalie Ray is one of her best efforts up to date. Interesting scenes of life behind the footlights form a fascinating pari of the picture.
