RIFLE SHOOTING
The competition for the Borough Council trophies came to an end last Saturday, when 15 shots were fired at 200 yard.-. Rllm. C. Barnard gained another point, brought his total to 7, and won the first prize, a trophy valued at £2. Rllm. 11. Fraukland, with a total of 6 points, won second prize, a 12s 0d trophy. The result was very close, and in doubt up to the last few shots. Conditions on Saturday were bad —a varying light, and later a low, glaring sun, which made aiming von difficult. Scores and points won were as follows :
This ends the tropin shooting for this year. The next season will open, on a date to be fixed at the annua’ meeting.

Rtlni. Hamer lias returned from the Paten rillc meeting. He was successful in winning money in ilia first two matches, although shooting condition.- were- very bad up there.
