FINALS OF TWENTY-MINUTES TOURNAMENTS.
The twenty-minutes tournaments conducted throughout the season just closed was concluded this week on the local green.
The final in the “A” section was played on Wednesday afternoon, before a fair number of interested spectators, between Airs Woods and Aliss B. Speirs. Both players have shown remarkably good form during the season, and it was anticipated that this would be an exciting finish. Aliss Speirs was given a, handicap of three points, but Mrs Wood- managed to win by a margin of eleven hoop-, and takes Airs
Evans’ trophy. In “B” section Mrs R. Aloorc and Mrs E. Huntley tied for Airs Head's trophy at the close of the tournament games, and played a deciding game yesterday afternoon, the result being that Airs Huntley was successful by a margin of one hoop.
