OCCULTISM IN GERMANY.
WAVE SWEEPS OVER COUNTRY
News comes from Germany that there is an unprecedented wave of occultism in that country. Card readers, astrologers, clairvoyants, and.mediums have opened establishments all over Berlin., Large numbers of societies have been organised for the study of spiritualism, theosophy, occultism, and astrology, Many have unusual names, among the leaders being “Armadora” and “Oslun-Rahma-Johjiyjah.” In Armadora the dominating personality is a medium known as “Queen of the Stars.” An “Order W Occultists” founded a year ago. has 1,000 members. •
On a higher plane is the “Antbroposophic Society,” founded by Dr. Steiner on his secession ’ from the Thoosopliists in 1903. It has 8,000 members, and has begun the construction of a great temple, the “Gotheanura,” at Dornaek, on which 4,000,000 marks already have been expended. Another of its developments is “a limited company for I lie production of scientific and natural values.’ Twenty-five million marks have been asked for this enterprise, and 15,000,000 already have been subscribed.
