BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY.

A meeting of the sub-committee of the Foxton Beautifying Society was held on Tuesday afternoon to deal with tenders for erection of concrete fence at the old cemetery. There were present: Messrs. Perreau (chairman), Hornblow, Poole and Trueman. The tender of Mr McMinn for the erection of the concrete fence was accepted. It was decided to ask Mr Hunt to vise the work. It was resolved

purchase suitable shrubs and hedg "plants for planting. It was resolved to. call tenders for ploughing, levelling and grassing Easton Park; and forming about two chains of roadway, the Society to provide the grass seed. Resolved to hold over the erection of a pavilion at the Park until after the annual meeting.
