RIFLE SHOOTING
An overcast sky, with a good light and a very slight breeze, prevailed last Saturday, when the second shoot lor the Borough Council trophies was held. 15 shots at 500 yards. The favourable conditions were conducive to good shooting, and a few exceptional scores were registered. In B Section, the 7 points looks a certainty for Hamer next Saturday, hut A Section will probably go to four shoots or more. The scores and points won last Saturdav are as follows: —
An unfortunate mistake in regard to the winner in A Section for the first shoot was published in the issue of May 12th. The correct order should have been: C. Barnard 3 pis., H. McKegney 2 pis., H. Frankhind 1 pi. The third shoot will be held next Saturday, 15 shots at GOO yards.
