BOROUGH WATER SUPPLY

200,000 GALLONS PER DAY. Messrs Brown and Rasmussen have completed the second artesian Dore in connection with the borough water supply. At a depth of 198 ft. 9 inches a flow of 80 gallons per minute was obtained (4,800 gallons an hour), be., above high water level. The combined'flows will yield 200,000 gallons per day of 24 hours. This should be ample to satisfy the requirements of a borough with a population of over 5,000. This flow works but approximately at 40 gallons per head per day.
