A good clearance was effected at the Foxlon Auctioneering Company's weekly mart sale on Saturday afternoon. Fruit and vegetables sold well at prices about equal to last week’s quotations. A heifer, dtte in September, brought £8; ducks sold at 2s !)d each, drakes at 3s (id and fowls realised from. 2s to 3s each. Dessert apples sold at 7s to 9s, according to quality. Onions 13s, potatoes 8s to 8s (3d per cwl. Entries of pigs, fowls, ducks and live stock of all descriptions, as well as furniture and sundries are solicited for next Saturday's sale. Farmers and others with stock and goods to enter are requested to forward particulars of their entries by 10 o’clock on Thursday morning, so that same can be advertised.
