OBITUARY.
MRS. CHARLOTTE ME S SEN A - AGED 55 YEARS. The many friends of Mrs Messena will regret to hear of her death, which took place on Sunday, after a lingering illness, aged 55 years. Deceased came to Foxton with her parents over forty years ago, and has resided in the district ever since. The death of her husband, the late Mr S. Messena, some years ago, came as a great blow to her, from which she never fully recovered. She was held in (lie highest esteem by a large circle of friends, and was ever ready to render assistance in times of sickness and trouble. She leaves a daughter, six brothers! including Messrs H. and G. C. Coley, of Foxton), and one sister to mourn their loss, and to whom general sympathy will be extended. The funeral will lake place tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon, leaving All Saints' Church at'2 o'clock for the Foxton Cemetery. ’ MRS. REVELL AGED 78 YEARS.
The death took place at Iter daughter’s (Mrs C. Voss’) residence, Palmerston X., at an early hour yesterday morning, of Mrs Revell, relict of the late Mr F. IT. Revell, and mother of Mrs IT. C. Patterson, of Foxton, aged 78 years. The deceased passed peacefully away in her sleep. She leaves a family of four sons (Messrs T. A. Revell, of Blenheim, F. 11. Revell, Hamilton, \Y. T. Revell, a missionary in India, R. C. Revell. Waikato), and eight daughters (Mrs C. Voss, Palmerston N., Mrs 11. N. Silk, Auckland, Mrs R. Matheson, Taupiri, Mrs M. Ronaldson, Auckland, Airs IT. C. Patterson, Foxton, Airs 0. White, Palmerston N., Mrs A. Grainger, Otane, and Airs IT. Rowe, Rongotea). and 2(i grandchildren, to mourn their loss. The funeral will take place at Palmerston on Thursday next, at 2 o’clock.
