A GIANT SEAPLANE.
TO ACCOMMODATE 100 PEOPLE. An illustration and description of the new giant seaplane which has been constructed by the Caproni Company, is published. The machine is a triplane with three separate sets of planes running across the bows, centre, and stern of the hull, making nine planes in all. The hull, as already report-
ed, will accommodate 100 passengers. The general lines of the machine are very heavy, and it looks a regular forest of struts and wires, which, to the uninitiated, would Seem calculated to present a formidable obstacle to the speed of the machine. The Capronissime, as it has been baptised, has been taken to Lake Faggiorc, where the last parts are being fitted. No date has as yet been fixed for trials, but it is expected that all will be ready shortly. The machine has been designed for long-distance flights, its constructor believing that a giant sea-, plane of this type is what is required for a successful crossing of the Atlantic.
