BOROUGH BAND

A meeting of members of the Borough Band, convened by Mr Newth, was held last night to discuss the question of winding up. After a lengthy discussion the fob lowing motion Avas carried: — “That the Band dissolve, the bank balance to be lodged in the Post Office Savings Bank, the pass book for Avhieh, and all Band property, to be placed in trust Avitii the Borough Council. The Council to hand over same on request for the formation of any future hand, registered under the Unclassified Societies Act, and linked up Avith the Association of Affiliated Bands.” Mr A. Smith wn s re-elected secretary to bring the resolution into effect, and A\ r as empowered to collect all outstanding Band property, and to sue for their recovery if necessary.
