ROYAL PICTURES

Clara Kimball Young, heading her own company, will appear at the Royal to-night, in her latest feature, “Cheating Cheaters.” This subject is one of the most elaborate and unusual in which the talented .-tar has appeared. “Cheating Cheaters” ran for over a season on Broadway, and attracted thousands to the theatre. It is in the nature of a melodramatic farce, although its actual character is not revealed till the finale. For the most part the action embraces the daring intrigue of two bands of crooks, each operating on the principal that the other is a family of great wealth and easy to swindle. There are some great names in the cast, including Jack Holt, Anna Q. Nilsson and 'fully Marshall.

On Monday a William Fox production, featuring William Farniuu, will he shown. This is a powerful and thrilling story of the West, “The Orphan,” In this picture Mr Farnum’s role is one of the most forceful and magnetic he has yet enacted for the screen. The story centres around The Orphan, an outlaw, who is hated and hunted persistently by the people of the little western town of Ford’s Station, in the heart of the cowpunchers’ country. When Sheriff .Jim Shields goes out to capture the outlaw, he himself is made captive by (lie fugitive, but they later part as friends, the Outlaw having won the other’s admiration by his daring and courage. Later he rescues the Sheriff’s pretty sister from an attack by Indians, and through the confidence of his newly made friend the Sheriff, and the love of the girl, The Orphan makes his peace with the cowboys, and starts life auew. Louise Lovely will lie seen as the heroine.
