Argentine chilled beef, hinds Is to Is 2d, fores 7:]d per lb.; New Zealand ox beef, average prices are hinds 7d, fores 5d per lb., but sale has been made up to 9Ad and 6Ad per lb, for best quality. No new season N.Z. lamb on market, but expected next week. Nominated Agent has agreed to sell surplus Government N.Z. meat at the following prices ex stores, including 14s days’ storage: Wethers BAd, ewes 7Ad per lb. Cut lamb Is per lb., uncut lamb Is OAd per lb. Butter. —Official quotation- are: N.Z. £l3 6s to £l3 10s per cwt. (2s 4.Ad to 2s 42d per lb.): Australian, £l2 8s to £l2 10s per cwt.
