CARNIVAL NOTES

SPORTS QUEEN,

A large crowd should be present at the dance to be held by the Sports Queen Committee in the Town Hall to-night. Arrangements in connection with floor, supper and music have been carried out in the usual Sports manner, so that all dancers can depend on another tiptop turnout to-night, The Sports Shop Day will be run on Saturday, when buyers will have some very attractive goods offered them. CITIZENS' QUEEN. The Committee have all arrangements in hand for the Children’s Dance to-morrow night, in the Masonic Hall. Children will dance from 7.30 till 10, after which adults will occupy the floor until midnight. The prices of admission will he children Is adults 2s. A good supper will be provided, and good music and good Door, so that an enjoyable evening is assured. All those who have not yet handed in their tickets in connection with the dance held last week are requested to do so immediately.

A Committee meeting will be held this evening, at 7.30 o’clock, when a full attendance is requested. FIBRE QUEEN.

A River Excursion will be held tomorrow, under the auspices of the Fibre Queen Committee, leaving the wharf at 8 p.m. Given fine weather, this outing should prove a strong attraction, and no doubt will be taken advantage of by a large, number of the public.
