FOOOTBALL.
A meeting of members and intending members of the Foxton Football Club was held in the Town Hall supper-room last night. Last year’s balance-sheet was read and adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr E. Newman. M.P.; president, Mr C. Robinson: vice-presidents, Messrs (). Robinson, G. V. Sheppard, J. F. Follas. AY. Kirkland, J. C'oogan, AY. E. Barber. G. Coley, AY. Bock, M. E. PeiTeau, F. Robinson, IT. Coley, Dr. Mandl; Union delegates, Messrs F. Williams, F. D. AVhiblcy, D. McEwen; secretary, Air R. McEwen; treasurer, Mr J. Desmond; management Committee, Messrs H. Reid, D. McEwen, R. Roore, F. D. AVhiblcy, F. AVilliams. It was resolved to nominate a senior, junior and third grade loams, and fourth grade, should there be competition for the latter. Subscriptions wore fixed as follows Senior, 7,- (id: junior, s>: lbird grade 2s fid. Il was proposed to ask Ale— rs Desmond, R. Roore, and A\. Hynes (o act as coaches. It was proposed to ask the Union to do away with the age limit for Thirds.
