Absolute immunity of dogs from' rabies is .practically promised by Professor Marie Remlinger, of the Pasteur Institute, whA is having wonderful success with the new serum developed by Professor Balle. This new vaccine is a mixture of the old Pasteur serum for rabies and of the virus of the disease. Il acts quickly, is easily" applied, is inoffensive, and costs little. It is curative a> well as a preventive. Eighteen dogs vaccinated with the new serum two months ago have been rendered absolutely immune, not the slightest trace of the disease developing after the virus had been injected into their blood.
