ROYAL THEATRE TO-MORROW AND THURSDAY NIGHTS.

Something novel is to be given at the Royal to-morrow and Thursday evening, when packed houses should greet the famous “Paint Girl,” to be screened, on behalf of the Queen Carnival candidates. During the screening of the “Paint Girl” the following choruses, specially set to a catchy six-eight air composed locally, for the occasion, will be rendered by a choir and orchestra. The audience will be requested to join in the repeat strain of the chorus: “I’m possessed of all the graces, Oh! a perfect dream my face is; It may owe to art a trifle, or it mayn’t. Should you fail to keep your distance I’ll call out for assistance — Goodness gracious! Mind the paint ! Mind the paint !” The choir will consist of Mosdainos Freeman, Healey, Hunt, Messrs Head, Hynes, Baker, Fountain, Carter, and Aiteheson; orchestra: Pianist, Mrs Barton; violin, Messrs Graham, Read;. claiv onelte, Mr Golder; Demon,-Ophi-eleide-Tuba, Mr Will. Dawson, Arrangements are also being made to screen the moving’films taken at the Oroua Downs recent sports, and ](reparations are being made to screen the successful queen and maids of honour of the first carnival held in Fox ton. This picture alone should prove instructive to the various commit less, and candidates in the matter of the general royal get-up. The band will render an outside programme each evening. During the singing of the choir the music and words of the chorus will he thrown on the screen. The

‘•Paint Girl" will he screened this evening at 7.30, for the instruction df the choir and orchestra.
