BLACKBALL TROUBLE.
MINERS’ APOLOGY ACCEPTED. Auckland, Feb. 28. Mr Massey lias been informed that the Blackball Coal Co. has agreed to accept Henderson’s apology for the words used to the mine deputy, Mr Anderson, and will reinstate Henderson to his former position. The tribunal expressed the opinion. that it would he unwise to legislate dealing with the dismissal of workmen from the mines. Mine owners and union officials recognise! the need for covering this question in the industrial agreement. Mr and Mrs King, who have jus 4 celebrated their golden wedding, have Rover been more than seven miles from Southend, in the Clutlia Valley (Otago), and have never been in a train.
