FOXTON RIFLE CLUB.
.A meeting of members of the above was held last night. Mr S. Head was voted to the chair. Mr J. N. Eider's resignation as president was accepted with regret, and the secretary was directed to convey the Club's appreciation of the work he had accomplished on behalf of the Club while holding the position of president. Mr S. Head was elected to fill the position until the annual meeting. A letter of thanks was directed to be forwarded to Mr Beveridge for past interest in the Club, and regretting his departure from the district. Decided to cancel the match with Levin Club on second Saturday in March, owing to absence of local members on that date. Mr Barnard was authorised to purchase white calico for flags on range. The following team was selected to fire in the F.F. & Ice Cup next Saturday, on the local range, starting at 11 a .in.: —Messrs J. Hartley, S. Head, A. Barnard, C. Barnard, W. Symons, H. Frankland, C. Rand, and H. McKeguev; emergencies, Messrs J. Rider and l 11, Graham. The cheek scorers to visit Levin to be G. Cull and W. Claris* and markers on local range to be members not picked in match team.
