ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
•MIDDLE-AGED MAX CUTS IIIS. THROAT. Waimatc, Feb. 11, Anthony Woolslonholme, a single man, aged about 45 years, was found last evening in bed in a whare on a small farm at Waituna, with his throat cut. He came originn lly from Yorkshire, and had no relatives in Xew Zealand. RAILWAY CROSSING FATALITY. Wanganui, Feb. 11. George Harrison, aged 68, a farm worker at Rapanui, was killed at St. John’s Hill railway crossing bv an outward-bound train this afternoon. The alarm bells on the cross - ; ing were ringing, but the deceased, who was riding a horse, and was 5 deaf, did not see the approaching train. Deceased was thrown heavi- ' ]v, and fell on his head. He died a few minutes later. Ilis horse was killed outright.
