The revenue from borough reserves is expended on (he
improvement of same, but revenue from stud) .-onroes would not be sufficient to accomplish much. Hence the formation of a Beautifying Society to assist and eo-opernto with the Borough Council in carry-, ing out a debiiito scheme. To this end the Beautifying Society is organising a big effort m the shape of a. Gain Day, to be hold in April, v.-Jiw’i it is hoped that at least £f)OA will be raised to put the beautifying scheme in operation. The forth-, coming effort will afford an opportunity to every member of the community to assist, and we have tut doubt that such a deserving causewill be taken up heartily and enthusiastically by the public.
