BOWLING.
The second round of the competition for the Triangular Shield between the Foxton, Levin and Shannon Clubs was played on the local green yesterday afternoon, when four Foxton rinks played two each from Shannon and Levin. The weather was perfect, and the green was in splendid condition, drawing evenly on both hands, and being veryfast. The Foxton players were only successful in winning one game, but in two of the others the scores were very close. The following are the details of the play: —

Yesterday afternoon a match for the Club Pins was played. Parkin, who.was playing as substitute for AJcKnight, and F. Whibley (the holders), being defeated by Nye and Mercer by 27 points to 13.
On Monday afternoon the Pennants, which have been held by Smith and Roore against seven successive challenges, changed hands, John Ross and Bryant winning by 27 points to 1(1.
