CRICKET.
To-morrow evening, at 8 o’clock, a meeting of all interested in the forthcoming trip of a Foxton team to play a return match with Levin in a week or so’s time, will be held in the State School. Foxton should he able to muster a fairly, good eleven, all that is required being sufficient practice to again familiarise players with the points of the game and “straighten their eye up.” The purpose of the meeting called for to-morrow night is to discuss ways and means of obtaining the necessafy practice materia 1 to proceed with. There having been a lapse of some years since Foxton had a regular cricket team, there is just now no material with which to carry on. It is hoped that all interested in the sport will attend.
