FEUDING A. & P. SHOW.

The Feilding Agricultural Show was opened on Tuesday in fine weather, and this, the seventeenth since it- inception, shows an advance on all sides. Entries in sections vary with the seasons, but on the aggregate the number of exhibits this year is very much larger than on previous occasions. Romneys predominated among the sheep exhibit-, and Shorthorns, including the milking strains, in the cattle. There was a fair display of light horses. Side-shows were on the grounds in large numbers, and there were numerous interesting ring events. A point of interest was the line display of cooking, in the home industries section. Two distinguished visitors, Hon. D. 11. Guthrie, Minister of Lands, and Hon. W. Noswortliy, Minister of Agriculture, were present, and were entertained by the officials at a luncheon, at which the president of the association, Mr 0. McElrov, presided. As member for the district, the Minister of Lands expressed the satisfaction it gave him on looking round to see such unmistakable signs of prosperity in his electorate. Later, Hon. Mr Noswortky officially declared the show opened.
