PALMERSTON RAILWAY DEVIATION.

COMMISSION TO REPORT.

Wellington, Jan. IS

Air J. A. Nash, ALP., has been informed by the. Prime Minister' (Mr Massey), who is also Minister of Railways, that a commission has been set up to report on the proposed deviation and improvements to the railway at Palmerston North. The personnel of the commission is Messrs Mgrchbanks, Miles and Hanna, and if is expected that its report will he ready shortly.
