BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY’S GALA.

A meeting of the above Committee was held this morning. Mr Permit! presiding. There were also present Messrs Read, Trueman, Moorhouso. Hornblow and Christie. A communication was received from the Minister of Internal Affairs, sanctioning articles for the art union. It was resolved that the Minister he written to, asking that other articles he included to supplement the works of art. It was decided to allocate the various article.-. in the art union to Queen candidate Committees and stallholders, who will dispose of tickets fop same. Other matters of detail were discussed, and it was deciced to convene another meeting as soon as a reply from the Minister is obtained.
