GIFT SOCIAL EVENING
The gift social evening held in the Town Hall supper-room last night by the plain and fancy si all holders in connection with the Beautifying Society's Gala, was fairly well attended, and a most enjoyable time spent. The gifts in cash and material were very liberal. Vocal items were contributed by Mesdames Freeman, Patterson, O’Donogliue, Bulkin!, Mi.-fsrs McEwen and King. There was also an amusing competition. Air Perreau, on behalf of the Society, explained the object of the effort, and thanked the donors and entertainers. A tasty supper was served at the conclusion.
