CONCERT
.On Thursday evening, in tin) Town Hall, the children of the All .Guild s' Home, with other helpers, gave a concert: in aid of the inmates holiday fund. The concert, which v. as well attended, was very much •njoyed by the audience. Encores were numerous, and the children nc..uitted themselves excellently. The dancing, songs, and other items showed the patient training of the children by the Matron was fully rewarded.
Thanks are due to Messrs Cicely and Kerr, and special thanks to Mr Reid and his son, who. worked the limelight, and did a host of other |kings lo make the evening a suercss. The Foxton Band, under Mr polder, and assisted by the Army Band, helped considerably. This afternoon Mr Reid has invited the children to a matinee at !InTown Hall.
The proceeds of the concert amounted to over £l2 clear, for which the matron, Miss Spencley, heartily thanks the Foxton people.
