BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY

A meeting of the loeul Beautifying Society Committee was held on Thursday night, the President (Mr Perreau) presiding. There was a fair attendance, and matters in connection with the proposed gala day were discussed and dealt with. A vole of thanks was passed to Mr T. M. AVilford, M.P., for his lecture in aid of the funds, which netted about £3. It was resolved to ask .the Borough Council to form and asphalt the entrance to Easton Park. It was resolved to employ labour to weed garden plots at the entiancc lo the Park. The question of allocating funds to be raised by the gala day effort to various purposes was held over.
