BOWLING.
A pairs tournament on lhe progressive system was played on' the local green on New Year’s Day. The green was in perfect order, and a very enjoyable day’s play resulted. Sixteen players took part in the competition,' which was decided on the aggregate score. The result was as follows: —Skips, Barr (68) Ist, Irvine (06) 2nd; leads, Roore and Jack 60 each.
