ROYAL PICTURES.
It is interesting to note that “The Flame of Life,” to he screened tomorrow and Thursday nights, was shown at Marlborough House by Loyal Command. This distinction was gained because it was the first (Swedish picture shown in England since the war, because of the character of the picture, and beauty of the scenery, and because the artists belonged to the (Swedish Royal Society of Artists. The Stockholm Theatre is a State organisation, the King and Queen of (Sweden being enthusiastic patrons. Only the best artists belong to the Society, and it is from this Society, the performers in “The Flame of Life” were secured. Lars Hanson is remarkably clover and wonderfully suited as David, and Edith Eras toll is equally fitted'to the part of the heroine- — but every performer is splendid, they do not act, they live the parts allotted to them, “The Flame o£ Life” has been described as a chunk of life in the primitive, rough-hewn from the lumber camps of the backwoods of Finland. In the majestic; setting of tumbling rapids, ruggedman risks all to win a smile from uwoman’s lips. Another episode of “The Mystery' of No. 13” will be shown as an ex--tra. , .. . „
