RIFLE SHOOTING.
Tn the report of the shooting on Saturday, November 27th, Air A. Barnard’s score should have been 44, not 43, and Air Claris’ total should have been 85, not S 3. Last Saturday the last shoot for Air Rider’s trophies was held, at 500 and 600 yards. Although the light was good, a gusty breeze, very changeable, mitigated against good shooting, and the scores generally were pretty low. Yds. Yds. A Section 500 600 Hep. Tl, .1. Rider 42 46 5 03 A. Counting the best two shoots, no less than three competitors, Mo'srs Rider, A. Barnard and MeKegney, lied for first place in A Section, with 185 points each. Mr Rider wins his own Irophy, having made (he highest total off the rifle. Alessrs S. Head and C. Barnard made 1844. points each, and Mr C. Rand 184 points. In B Section, Air G. Cull wins the trophy with 173 points, Air H. Graham coming second with 170 points, and Mr Claris third, 169 points. Next Saturday the first shoot for Airs C. H. Symons’ trophy, value one guinea, for B Section, and Airs Frankland’s trophy, value one guineo, for A Section, will be held, at ranges of 200 and 500 yards.
