TECHNICAL WOODWORK CLASS
The technical woodwork class held under the technical department of the Education Board, completed the last term for 1920 last week. The pas).'year has been a very successful one, and under the supervision of Mr A. Harding the pupils have received valuable instruction in woodwork of various kinds, principally in furniture construct ion.
Last week there was on view in the workroom at Manchester House samples of work completed by the pupils during the past term, comprising some handsome and useful articles, including piano stools, Morris chairs, bookcases, medicine chest, fire screen, and a quite unusual piece of work in the shape of double picket gates of typical pattern and sound construction. v
These classes have become firmly established in Boston, and will be continued during the coming’ year. They present a valuable opportunity to residents to become proficient in the use of tools pertaining to woodwork, ami also to gain a good insight into the construction of all classes of furniture, etc., and it is hoped that during 1921 the classes will become more popular than ever.
