CARGO BROACHER SENTENCED.
Auckland, Novcmb. 20. ■ At the Police Court, William James .Murphy, a coal trimmer on (ho Orari, avus sentenced to six months’ hard labour. During the voyage from London a hole Avas cut in the partition, between one of the coal hunkers and the hold, and fifteen cases of cargo Avere broken open, mostly containing men’s underwear. A search resulted in the discovery of a quantity of underwear in the forecastle. Accused admitted taking about £lB worth. The broaching AA'as done after the ship left the Panama Canal. •_
